What should be done if the receiver's first and last names are too long?
What should be done if the receiver's first and last names are too long?

Depending on the country you are sending funds to, there are character limits that are set for the receiver's first and last name.

To ensure the transaction is sent to the correct destination bank account, Wind checks the name of the bank account the sender provides while creating a recipient with the actual account holder's name.

If we find a discrepancy, we either hold the transaction and ask for the correct name or reject the transaction and ask the user to run a new transaction with the correct details.

[Please always keep an eye on your Wind account email address for compliance-related emails]

If you are facing issues due to limits, please do the following:

  1. Make sure you are using the Account holder's full name correctly.

  2. If the account holder's name is "Patrick John Henricksen"

  3. Use "Patrick J. Henricksen"

If you still face issues. Please contact [email protected]
