Step by Step: How to Cash Out with Wind in the Philippines
Updated over a week ago

Once you receive payments to your Wind account, you can easily cash out those funds in the Philippines in just a few simple steps.

First tap on the cash out button on your home screen to go to the cash out page.

You can choose to cash out funds from your account in two ways- via your bank account or e-wallet, whichever is more convenient to you. Wind currently supports 31 Banks and 2 E-wallets in the Philippines.

Upon choosing your desired gateway, you will be asked if you want to verify the recipient before cashing out. It can take up to 48 hours for the account to get verified, so you might have to wait before proceeding. If you fully trust the recipient account details, you can choose to continue without verification.

You will then find a list of banks/e-wallets supported by Wind to choose from, so make sure you’re withdrawing from an account within the given list of banks.

Then you have to enter the recipient account’s information. You will need the following information to move forward:

  • receiver’s full name

  • email address

  • a valid 11-digit Philippine phone number

  • 10-13 digit bank account number

For e-wallets, you will also need to enter a valid wallet account number, which can also be your phone number if it is associated with your e-wallet.

Here’s an example of what the bank account information should be like:

Recipient’s name

John Doe

Email address

11-digit phone number in the given format

09187563252

10-13 digit bank account number

0000002536013

Save the recipient so you can use this information for future transactions. Next, upon tapping “Continue” you’ll be asked to enter the USDC amount you want to withdraw. You will see two fields on the page.

On the top field you have to enter your withdrawal amount in USDC and the converted PHP amount will be shown in the field below it. Between the fields you can see the transaction fee, which is a small amount charged by the Wind app plus bank charges, and also the exchange rate for the amount the recipient will get upon withdrawal.

After you have entered all the required information, press “Continue” to proceed. Now that you have included everything we need, check your transaction details to ensure all the information is correct. The “View Breakdown” and “More details” options will provide you with a complete list of the details.

Tap “Continue” if you want to proceed with the transaction after checking thoroughly.

To confirm and verify any action on your account you must enter your 4-digit account pin. Only upon verification, your transaction will be completed.

If your transaction is successful, you will receive a pop up message stating that your cash out request has been submitted.

The cash out transaction takes place in four steps. First we receive the amount in USDC, which is then converted to PHP and sent to banks. Finally, the amount is deposited in your chosen bank account or e-wallet.

Note: If you submit a cash out request before 1:00 PM Philippine time, you may receive your money on the same day. Otherwise, you will receive it the next business day.
